Often this training works in the model of high-performance sports coaching and resembles military boot camp training.
This can be effective. It's just not the way I like to work with leaders who already put themselves under so much pressure.
If we work together, I like to take the perceived pressure off and replace it with perceived trust, a sense of deep joy and purpose, and a bucket load of humour.
Can we stop taking everything so seriously? Look, as my son says, "we're all going to die!" so let's make the most of the time we are alive. A bit less "I got to get this right" and a lot more "I GET to play with this and grow, that's right!"
