Do you have a STRATEGY?

May 23, 2022

The question feels rhetorical. You know you SHOULD have a strategy.

Letting the long term goals guide your moves of today achieves results in that direction. It does sound logical. If only you operated in that kind of way!

I feel the idea of strategy is over-hyped and over-popular. It's a rather masculine concept (nothing wrong with that but there is more...). Some of us prefer organic evolution to strategic operations.

That also works. All the time? No. But neither does having a strategy.

Sometimes in life and business, you stumble on opportunities, life unfolds in mysterious ways. I love that. Your passion arises from a deep dissatisfaction. Your clarity forms out of a crisis. The twists and turns that throw us often enable us to spread our wings and fly.

You don't play chess that way. No. It's good to learn to think "what could happen here?" Chess is a WAR GAME. The goal is to capture the king.

But life is a game where the goal is up to you.

Personally, I don't capture kings. They come to me because they WANT to.

So my STRATEGY is to ENJOY the unfolding of life and potential (mine and that of my clients), to serve and be served, to love and be loved, and to LAUGH. To create and relish in the creations.

What's yours?
