An entitled little b*tch

An entitled little b*tch

Jun 05, 2023

Have you been told as a woman that you acted entitled?
Maybe you also know the silent feeling of shame creeping in when someone suggests that. Who do you think you are to assume special treatment?
Have you questioned yourself about your place to ask certain things of another human being?
If you are afraid that you ask too much of others, you would fear being called this:

An entitled little bitch.
I have been called this, and it hurt me deeply.
But hold up - What’s the idea behind it?

What is entitlement?
It stands for a threefold meaning:

Firstly, the fact of having a right to something.
“Full entitlement to fees and maintenance should be offered.”
Secondly, the amount to which a person has a right.
“Her annual leave entitlement”
And finally, the belief that one inherently deserves privileges or special treatment.
“No wonder your kids have a sense of entitlement.”

If someone calls you entitled - where are they coming from? Do they recognise that you DO bear rights? Often they seem to forget - they are too busy thinking that THEY are entitled to your obedience, silence, compliance and gentle approval no matter what.
But quite frankly, these times are over!

Take your place on the thrown of your inner life, Queen. And reign with grace.
You decide who you allow your audience. Let them prove themselves worthy of your attention.
That is your rightful entitlement.
You are entitled to respect!
