Do less. Do nothing. Have it all.

Do less. Do nothing. Have it all.

Apr 05, 2023

Do nothing. Allow yourself to be still and watch things change.

What? Are you telling me to sit on the couch and expect success to knock on my door? From nothing comes nothing; this is nonsense!

Except you’d be surprised. My clients get phone calls and bookings out of the blue when they go to bed for a nap.
Take a retreat. Go and chill.

The best ideas come in the space of non-focus… From nothing comes everything.

You came from no-thing. Then a sperm, egg and 2 people having a good time.
That’s where we come from. A good old bang. We originate in orgasm. No thing.

Slowing down, being still means becoming still inside. Sitting on the couch watching Netflix or flicking through the phone is not ‘doing nothing’. It’s doing something.
And it’s distracting your busy fast mind, not slowing it down.

Slowing down is more linked with our energies and our thinking speed than the time spent on the couch.

We like to be fast thinkers. I don’t see many priding themselves on being a slow thinker.
When you cultivate the ability to slow down your thinking, you will notice the pause between thoughts, the space from which magic arises. There is peace in pause.

Meditation has become popular, but compartmentalising slow thinking into a 15min practice only to return to the fast pace that fosters disharmony, addiction and anxiety is not as conducive as we may wish to believe.

What if you can be meditative throughout more of your activities?

What if the speed of thinking could have some seasons?
I love a bit of fast thinking myself. Fun, excitement & adventure is found here.
But peace is not.

If you are in search of your magic, intuition and guidance, energy and wisdom, try the slowing down thing. Try the slowing down thing if you’d like to have less anxiety and more mental well-being.

Look for stillness. Turn off the phone. Go into nature. Stay off the phone. Experience the withdrawal. Breathe. Keep off the coffee. Listen to a guided meditation if you can’t yet hold your own.

Then - ignore all this advice and do your own thang. Love you.
